About Ken Maynard Glass
My Story
I am a glass artist living in Sunderland which has a long and wonderful history in glass making.
Recently retired from work, I’m hoping to spend more time pursuing my hobby and most days or evenings are spent in my workshop unless I’m out running in the hills.
After cutting my first piece of glass at the National Glass Centre (sadly due to close!!) I was hooked, built a workshop, bought a kiln and attended a few evening classes
What I do
I love playing and experimenting with glass, mainly small items that I fuse in my kiln. I also do a little stained glass. Please contact me if you’d like to purchase anything or would like to chat about making a special item.
Artist in Residence
I am currently one of the Artists in Residence at St Pauls Church in Ryhope and am enjoying working with the church and the wider community whilst creating pieces of work for exhibitions as well as offering some workshops.
